Voucher

A coupon or other document, either prepaid or given free, entitling the bearer to certain goods, services, or discounts upon presentation.

VPN

Short for Virtual Private Network. A private data network that makes use of a public infrastructure, maintaining privacy through the use of a tunnelling protocol and security procedures.

Video compression

Performing a digital compression process on a video signal. Compression techniques are used to enable efficient transmission of video signals.

Virtual VOD

Commonly abbreviated VVOD. Same as push VOD.

VOD

Short for Video On Demand. A service giving the consumer the choice when to view the movie. The basic idea is to offer video/movie playout functionality from a central server.

VDSL

Short for Very high bit rate DSL. See DSL, ADSL and xDSL.
