Channel 43 pioneering DTT in Asian CIS together with Conax
CSTB, Moscow, Feb. 3rd, 2010: The first DTT platform within the Asian CIS region, Kazakhstani Channel 43 is a DTT pioneer and success just two years after launch. The platform’s technology provides additional space and frequency not available using older technologies. The Channel 43 DTT platform was launched in 2007, together with security provider, Conax’ Conax memory content protection. Conax is DTT market leader within security with over 40% of the security market for growing DTT market and 14 national platforms in Europe alone.

The Channel 43 platform serves the cities of Temirtau and Karaganda – areas not previously offered the benefits of DTT and prime value-added services. With combined target population of over half a million, the successful project has provided a benchmark for lesser populated areas previously considered unprofitable for successful digital TV operations.
