Brazilian MSO SimTV chooses security partner Conax for digitization of its cable TV operations
São Paulo, Brazil, August 9th - ABTA: Today global security provider Conax announced it has entered a contract with Brazilian cable TV operator, SimTV. In the contract Conax will deliver a high-end content protection solution for SIMTV’s cable TV service and guidance for the digitization of the operator’s 16 remote sites throughout the country.

SimTV, a leading player within the Brazilian market, offers an exciting bouquet of programs and services. Owned by BandTV (Grupo Bandeirantes Communications), SimTV’s Canal 17 already serves about 50 municipalities and covers a population of 1,101,175?households providing a market ripe with key growth opportunities. In the new offering, Conax security-evaluated client devices from Jiuzhou will be deployed on the SimTV platform.
