Is your TV Everywhere solution ready for the end-of-life of Microsoft Silverlight?
From September 2015, the support for Microsoft Silverlight in Chrome will come to an end. Have you adjusted your operation to a new reality?

multi-drm

Up until now, the Netscape Plug-in API (NPAPI) has been an essential technology to distribute web-based video to a wide range of browsers. However, from September 2015, Google will terminate support for NPAPI within the Chrome browser. This will affect all plug-ins that rely on NPAPI, such as the Microsoft Silverlight.

Conax has launched the next generation multi-DRM solution in our flagship security hub Conax Contego™, thus solving the challenge with end-of-life of NPAPI and simplifying the protection of content to multiscreen devices. Conax Contego™ combines support for Microsoft PlayReady, Widevine and the Kudelski Group clients PRM and Conax OTT Access  with the new technologies MPEG-DASH and The Common Encryption Scheme (CENC) enabling the operator an easy transition into new TV Everywhere services.
